Born on the island of Besaid, Lulu is a stern and scathing young woman who is nonetheless caring towards others. She grew up with Wakka, Yuna, and Wakka’s younger brother, Chappu, with whom she had a romantic relationship with. Lulu was particularly harsh to Tidus when she first met him, but she gradually changed her opinion as the story progressed.
Normally, I wouldn’t even feature something like this on Cosplay Holic, but there’s something very sexy about this photo… I’m not particularly sure why, but I really love it! Thanks to Wins for sending this!
The main protagonist of Final Fantasy X, Tidus is a rising Blitzball star player from Zanarkand. He was transported to the world of Spira after Sin attacked Zanarkand. There, he met the young summoner, Yuna who was set on a pilgrimage in an attempt to put an end to the very creature that attacked his homeland. Tidus joined Yuna and her guardians hoping that he would one day find his way home.
That water looks so calm that it’s almost… fake. I’m hoping that’s not salt water or it might ruin the costume! Thanks again to Syaza for the contribution!
This is probably my last post for the year 2009, so lets make it... cute!
Rikku, the bilingual, 15-year-old Al Bhed, is a talented theif who is somewhat childish, but also very cheerful and optimistic. She loves her cousin Yuna dearly and wishes to stop her from going through with her pilgrimage. She also informs Tidus of Yuna's fate when she summons her Final Aeon.
So cute this Yuna! And intersting shoes I might add. I really like her outfit in X more than X-2. Awesome work!
Nomura Tetsuya designed Yuna with hibiscus flowers as her name depicts. Her name also means “night” so her weapons are empowered by the moon. Yuna also has heterochromia, which explains her different colored eyes; her blue eye comes from her half-Spiran bloodline and her green eye comes from her half-Al Bhed bloodline.
Beautiful cosplay! Good location too. I wonder if she had a hard time keeping her hair fixed? Thanks for sharing this!
17-year-old human summoner Yuna is the daughter of Spira's infamous High Summoner Braska, the man responsible for bringing a brief end to the destruction of Sin; The Calm. She has decided to follow in her father's footsteps to become a summoner herself. Yuna is expected to travel to temples across Spira to acquire all of the magical entities known as "aeons" and eventually summon the Final Aeon in a battle that will claim both its life and her own.
We can't see the cosplayer's face in this photo, which is a shame, really. It's still a great photo! Nice work!
This 35-year-old unsent warrior monk for Bevelle whose attack to Yunalesca led to his death, Auron is Tidus‘ Mentor and Yuna’s guardian. He kept his status of being an unsent a secret, although there were a lot of suspicions raised when he refused to enter the farplane at Guadosalam. He was eventually laid to rest when Yu Yevon was finally defeated.
I can’t believe how accurate this cosplay is! I love the costume’s details and the cosplayer’s attitude. Nice job!
Happy Valentines Day, everyone! :o
I originally intended to just make this video for no real purpose… But I guess I’ll enter this on Sanriotown’s Valentine Video Contest. Hopefully, I can grab myself a limited edition Hello Kitty USB. :D
List of cosplays:

Technically, this is the 5th Rikku I’m posting on this blog. But I didn’t label the post that way because she is the first Rikku I found who cosplayed the X version rather than the more popular X-2 versions.
Rikku is perky and optimistic. She has a close friendship with Tidus, as they are quite similar in their personalities. Since she is an Al Bhed, she suffered discrimination from the Yevonites, but this didn’t change her positive outlook in life. She did whatever she could do to save Yuna from giving her life with the Final Summoning.
I think I like this costume of Rikku’s more than the X-2 ones… I’m not entirely sure why that it. But I think a lot of people will disagree with me on this.

I was surprised to see the response of people from Sanriotown with my Cosplay Blog. But I didn’t think I could get to feature a Sanriotown Member as one of the cosplayers..!
I came across this picture from Luty’s Blog and immediately emailed her to ask if I could feature her. She sent me her original photo. She happily accepted my request, and this is what she has to say about her cosplay:
Is Yuna, from FF X! This one i?ve made everything!! Cutting, sewing, painting little flowers! It was a lot of work, but I love to do this kind of thing! And here you can see that I was with sore eyes too, like Raein?. XD
From: Luty Mishima
Very impressive! One of the best home-made cosplays I’ve ever come across! And her sore eyes doesn’t really show on this picture…
Great job, Luty! I hope I get to see more of your cosplays soon!

The black mage of the Final Fantasy X game, Lulu (or “Ruru” in the direct Japanese translation) carries a dark past within her, being once the Guardian of the fallen Ginnem. And now her duty falls with Yuna the Summoner and her team.
Lulu’s character design breaks the common connotation of a typical black mage character in the Final Fantasy series, making her a favorite amongst cosplayers…
This picture blows me away. Although I believe this girl is actually a professional model with a professional photographer. None the less, it’s quite impressive, though I had the impression that Lulu’s make-up would be darker than this… This cosplayer doesn’t give that “dark aura” that Lulu gives.
But maybe that’s just me…

Now here is a scene recreation I am familiar with… I’ve never played Final Fantasy before, but I saw this scene in a game convention. The only difference between the game scene and this one is that in the game, Tidus and Yuna were in the water at night… Here, the picture was taken during the day… Probably because the water looks really, really cold right now, what more during the night?
I think Yuna’s crying more for the fact that her beautiful cosplay costume is now all wet, than the scene recreation itself. I would cry if my photographer were to tell me I needed to get my costume ruined for the sake of a shot. T_T But that is just me… And besides, this cosplay is great! Definitely one for the books!
EDIT: Thanks again to SoL for letting me know the Yuna in this picture is Shibata Ina aka “Shiba”!

Oh boy, how many days have gone by without me updating this site? Apologies on that. A recent thunder storm fried all the connections… Let’s see how many entries I can come up with today to make up for lost time…
Now, the thing about the Final Fantasy series, is that they have beautiful guys and girls. And everyone would want to be powerful individuals with perfect skin and hair to match, right?
Note this Yuna cosplayer. She’s got smooth skin and a lovely hair color. The costume is perfect, though I’m wondering about the choice of backdrop. It looks like a warehouse that’s going under construction, or probably really old…
Now, I’ve never played Final Fantasy X before, so I have no idea if there was a scene similar to this in-game. So please do correct me if I’m wrong… I just always had the impression Final Fantasy X has beautiful, natural backdrops all the time.
By the way, why do they call it “Final” Fantasy when the game always comes out with sequels..? Hm…

After going through a few dozen (or so?) back-up DVDs, I finally found my long lost collection of cosplay photos. Most of the ones that were taken off the Internet are the ones that I found. I still need to search for the folders that had my own pictures in them…
Anyway… Enough of my own ramblings…
Here’s a really nice cosplay of Yuna from the Final Fantasy X game. Not a lot of people can cosplay Yuna, because unlike usual anime cosplay, Yuna is a 3D character. And how can you compete with someone who was so perfectly rendered in the perfect 3D world? Hm…
Again, if someone has an idea as to the identity of this picture, please let me know (with proof). ^_^
